Q: How do I write and save the letter?
It´s very easy, just go to ‚Send a letter’. Choose the desired stationary. You can start writing your letter from there, but we highly recommend to create an account and log in before you start to write so you can save your letter and get back to it any time. Please be aware that you can´t log in and save the letter during your writing, if you want to save it log in before you start to write. You will also have the chance to see when the letter was sent.
Q: Can the letter be anonymous?
No it can´t. You always have to sign the letter with your name. If you don´t give us your name we will use the one that will be on the invoice.
Q: Can I use emoticon?
Sorry no, the font used for text imitates hand writing and thus no emoticons are possible.
Q: What are the mandatory postage stamps that will be on the envelop?
One small stamp in the upright corner. One air stamp. Please see here.
Q: Can I choose the stamp/how will the stamp look like?
The stamp is already set and depends on what the Czech post office issues. However it will always be a stamp made in Czech Republic with Czech design.
Q: Is there a maximum or minimum number of characteristics allowed?
Each stationary has different maximum of characters it all depends on the design. You will see how many characters is left when you start to write a letter. You can write up to 4 pages.
Q: What if I want to write more than a 4 page letter?
A letter over 4 pages long would be too thick and heavy.
Shipping and Delivery
Q: When will the letter arrive at its destination?
Letters are posted by the next business day. Letters submitted on Friday-Sunday will be mailed on the following Monday. Whenever the Post office is closed during national bank holidays the letter will be sent on the following business day. Delivery depends on the country of destination.
Q: Do you mail internationally?
Yes. We accept orders from anywhere in the world and send to any address in the world.
Q: Can I choose the day the letter is sent?
Yes you can choose the day the letter will be handed to the post office but please be aware that letters are posted by the next business day. Letters submitted on Friday-Sunday will be mailed on the following Monday. Whenever the Post office is closed during national bank holidays the letter will be sent on the following business day. Unfortunately, you can´t choose the day the letter will be received as we can´t guarantee the exact delivery date being entirely in the hands of the post office.
Q: Where is the letter sent from?
From Czech Republic, Europe.
Q: Do I need to know the exact address of the recipient?
Mandatory fields are: Name, surname, street name, house or apartment number, city, postal/zip code, country.
Q: What is your return policy?
In case your letter is returned to Back to letters, it can mean that the address was no correct, the post office could not identify the address provided or your recipient does not have a proper post box. Since you provide the return address the letter will be returned to you with a general post office explanation as to why it was returned.
Q: Is there any compensation or refund in case there is a delay in postal delivery?
No. Once a letter is in the possession of the postal service we have no control over the delivery. We can´t guarantee any delivery date.
Q: What if the letter is not delivered?
Please contact us and we will deal individually with every case. But we recommend waiting between one to two weeks before contacting us. Some countries may take longer to deliver the letter.
Q: Can I track the letter?
We do not offer tracking, Certified Mail and Registered Mail.

Q: May I cancel my order?
Once the order is made you can´t cancel or change the order.
Q: Can I follow steps of my order? UPRAVIT
A:You can track the status of your order in your Mailbox. Letters written and uploaded are saved in “Draft” status. You can amend, change or delete letters in Draft status. Once you submit a letter for payment, the letter goes “In Production” status. At this point you cannot change or delete the letter. It is currently being printed and prepared for mailing. Once your letters are delivered to the post office and mailed, the status will change to “Mailed”.

Q: Is the transfer of my information secure and will my information be protected?
Yes. Mail A Letter places the highest priority on security. The Mail A Letter server implements 128bit-SSL-certificate encryption for the transmissions between your computer and the server. This technique is used for bank transfers and is considered the safest on the market. You can recognize the secure server by the https:// designation in the address line and by the padlock symbol in the symbol line of your browser. Q: What is the policy in terms of the information you collect (e-mail and mailing addresses)?
We take your privacy very seriously and we do not sell or distribute any information which goes through our system. All information included in and pertaining to the letters is kept on a secure server. Visit our Privacy Statement page for complete details.
